The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently checking out the Fernie 2 Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render solutions on the community.

SASSA will likely be rendering solutions including new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer treatment enquiries, plus the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency said it can be alarmed concerning the superior variety of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The intention in the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to a substantial number of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is certainly as a result of lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no totally functional office devoted to service the area each day. The company level made for intervention experiences a substantial inflow of possible beneficiaries, that makes it complicated for the office to attend to all people who take a look at a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise much more assets to enable the servicing of all consumers and enhance access to Social Assistance providers,” the agency said.
